So, for those of you that are unawares, last.fm is an online music tracking and streaming site. To be honest, we don’t like streaming music here at The Quilted Generation but we do love the stats involved with what music we listen to. Last.fm is perfect for keeping on top of this and after setting up a new account specifically for this a few weeks back, we can proudly proclaim….drum roll please….that we have hit the 100 artists mark already.
Put simply, this is a great milestone and the first one in an adventure that will ensure we encompass thousands more. We hope to widen our musical horizons in the coming months and hope you can be part of that expansion as well. We want to listen to more rap, more hip-hop, dubstep, RnB, techno, house, whatever. Just more, more, more good music please Mr. Music People please. Thank you.
We’ve included the full list of the 100 artists below along with the amount of times we have listened to one of their tracks. A full and more extensive list can be found by clicking the RSS feed to the right. See it? That’s it there.
We will keep you posted on how this expands over the coming months and if you notice any glaring omissions from the list below then please let us know and we’ll put it right. And obviously, this is only music we have listened to over the past 3 weeks so there may be some pretty big bands missing or people lower than they should be. These things happen. No surprise to see the mighty Radiohead in or around the top though. Note to readership: that will not change.
